ScholarSkills uses multisensory tools, dynamic activities, and analytical spelling to teach the science of reading to students facing the challenge of learning English as a new language. Our oral spelling curriculum enhances auditory training as students learn to spell, write, and pronounce phonemes, syllables, and morphemes, which are the building blocks of English.

This foundational learning takes place in The Academic Gym.

At The Academic Gym (TAG), students use rhythmic athletic repetition to develop rapid reading recognition. They spell, box, write, and run for learning, fitness, and fun. This blend of structured literacy, brain-stimulating physical exercise--and sheer joy--enhances retention and makes learning exciting and effective for all students, including those diagnosed with dyslexia or challenged by learning English as a new language.
